Keep Memory Alive's 17th annual Power of Love Gala continues to grow with an extended list of entertainment icons and celebrities attending and performing at the 80th birthday celebration for Quincy Jones and Sir Michael Caine in Las Vegas. The star-studded tribute will take place on April 13, 2013 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, while raising funds in support of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and its fight against neurodegenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's diseases, multiple sclerosis, ALS and memory disorders of all kinds.

HOUSE OF BLUES CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH SANTANA INSPIRED “WINGS OF LEGEND” STATUE UNVEILING

On January 16th, a 13 foot steel, glass, and bronze replica of a PRS SANTANA signature guitar will be unveiled in front of House of Blues Las Vegas in Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in honor of The House of Blues first resident Carlos Santana. The statue was created by premiere American artist and innovator Dale Evers. This immense sculpture is entitled “Wings of Legend.” It represents the tens of millions guitars that have become an intrinsic part of American pop-culture and pays homage to the artistry of Santana and his relationship with PRS guitars.
Fans in the Las Vegas area are invited to attend.

Santana’s tour dates on Friday, August 24th, and Saturday, August 25th at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL as well as their date on Sunday, August 26th at the Ask Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL have been canceled.
It is with great regret that the upcoming performances featuring Carlos Santana and the Santana Band have been canceled due to circumstances beyond our control. Universal Tone Management is working diligently to reschedule these performances. We would like to thank all of the fans in Florida for your patronage, and we look forward to bringing you the music of Carlos Santana in the very near future.

PAVE (Preventing Abuse and Violence Through Education) is designed to promote healthy relationships and empower teens to take a stand against dating violence through the expression of pop music. Through PAVE the Way Project, seven youth artists aged 13 to 20, from across the country, contributed original songs to the non-profit project to raise awareness of dating violence alongside their peers.

200 top-selling albums chart, and at #2 on the indie chart. It is
Santana’s 13th Top 20 album debut, and the group’s 30th top 200 charting release
overall. It follows up 2010’s Guitar
Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time, which made Santana the only act in Billboard
history, other than the Rolling Stones, to score at least one Top Ten album in each decade from the
1960s through the present.

Sirius XM Radio has launched “John Coltrane Radio,” a four-day long, commercial-free music channel featuring music, interviews and guest orchestral performances celebrating Coltrane’s 85th birthday.
The limited-run channel starts today, September 22 and will run through Sunday, September 25 on channel 67.
“John Coltrane Radio,” which will be hosted by Carlos, CIndy and Coltrane’s son, saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, will feature the music spanning Trane’s career, including his over 100 albums, performances and music from his years playing with Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk.

LA trustees rename school 'Carlos Santana Academy'

The LA Unified school board on Tuesday approved the name "Carlos Santana Arts Academy" for what has been called Valley Region Elementary School No. 12 in the San Fernando Valley. In a statement The board says the guitarist is a compelling role model for students both for his longstanding musical achievements and for philanthropy with his Milagro Foundation, which works to provide education and health care for children. In a letter, Santana thanked the district and said he was deeply honored.
